Some 120 miles of stunning coastline will transport you past rugged and windswept cliffs, spectacular scenery and fabulous unspoilt beaches. It’s a coastline sprinkled with historic castles, churches and forts. Many are now just ruins but each holds the memories of a mysterious and heroic past.

The Causeway Coastal Route provides a journey of exploration, where imagination meets reality and where every village and town, castle and rocky shore are waiting to be discovered.

Events Calendar

Host to world-class events such as the Giro D’Italia, the World Police and Fire Games and the Irish Open Golf Championship in Royal Portrush in 2012 and Portstewart Golf Club in 2017, the area goes from strength to strength. In 2019 the Royal Portrush Golf Club welcomed The 148th Open Championship for only the second time in its history.

Annual events such as Air Waves Portrush, the Vauxhall International North West 200 Motor Cycle Races and the SuperCupNI Youth Football Tournament continue to enthral visitors from far and wide every year.
