Experience the home of Jameson Irish whiskey with guided tours 7 days a week

The Jameson Distillery Midleton brings the stories of Jameson’s rich whiskey heritage and on-going innovations to life through unforgettable tour experiences.

Jameson was born and raised in Dublin, but eventually they outgrew their city home on Bow St. So in 1975, they moved their entire whiskey making operation to the green surroundings of Midleton, Co. Cork. The original buildings at the impressive 15 acre Midleton Distillery site date back as far as 1794 and have been used to distil and mature their whiskeys since 1825.

Midleton is also the home of the Irish Whiskey Academy, their state of the art training facility that has become the dedicated whiskey institute of Irish Distillers, hosting courses that focus on the production and heritage of Irish whiskey produced at Midleton.

There are a range of guided experiences to enjoy, taking in both the exterior and interior features of the distillery grounds. For an introduction to the world of Irish whiskey, The Jameson Experience is the ideal stepping stone. For those seeking a deeper dive into their production process, their Behind the Scenes Tour and Premium Whiskey Tastings will certainly satisfy.

Also available is the distillery gift store, stocked with Ireland’s leading whiskey portfolio, including Midleton Very Rare and personalised Jameson Distillery Edition.

  • Midleton is also the home of the Irish Whiskey Academy, a state-of-the-art training facility that has become a dedicated whiskey institute.
  • Jameson Distillery Midleton, is home to the largest Copper Pot Still in the world!
  • The Behind The Scenes tour includes a visit to the live Micro-Distillery. Dedicated to producing innovative small batch whiskey, where recipes are recreated from John Jameson’s original log book
    dating back to the 1800’s.
  • Whiskey fans can hand-fill a bottle of Jameson Black Barrel, at cask strength, from a live bourbon barrel. This Bottle Your Own experience allows guest to personalise their purchase and enter their details into the Jameson archive.
