The Royal Hibernian Academy is an artist based and artist orientated institution dedicated to developing, affirming and challenging the public’s appreciation and understanding of traditional and innovative approaches to the visual arts.
The Academy has five galleries. Three on the first floor are dedicated to curated exhibitions of Irish and International art.
The Academy mounts an annual open submission art show which it has organised since 1826.
The main gallery is 6,000 sq.ft with 17ft. ceilings and louvred daylight.
The Ashford Gallery on the ground floor, is designated to introducing artists, who do not have commercial representation in Dublin, to the collecting public and prove their commercial viability.
