The Sheep & Wool Centre is a visitor attraction situated in the heart of Connemara on the breathtaking Killary Harbour.
The Centres mission is to foster awareness of the traditional sheep and wool-craft industry in the west of Ireland.
The museums focus is on the history of sheep and wool handcrafts with daily demonstrations in carding, spinning and weaving.
A short introductory DVD is also available in English, Irish, French, German & Italian. A visit to the museum will answer all your woolly or sheepish questions!
The Sheep and Wool Gift Shop stocks everything from knitting yarn and ceramics to woollens and souvenirs, with prices to suit most pockets. The café on-site, Bia Blas specializes in home cooked food and baking.
