A treasure trove of family fun and Irish Tourism Award Winner 2017

Create memories to treasure at Ireland’s most beautiful historic home. It is the perfect destination for your family holiday. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the stunning grounds for FREE. Why not take the grounds tour and learn about the history and restored gardens?

Visit Westport House and immerse yourself in life as far back as the 16th century when Grace O’Malley the Pirate Queen of Connacht ruled the land and seas around the estate. Built upon the foundations of one of her many castles, which can still be toured in the dungeons today, the original Westport House was built in 1650 by Colonel John Browne and his wife Maud Burke, Grace O’Malley’s great-great-granddaughter.

Enjoy the rides, slides, boats and trains in the Pirate Adventure Park. Visit the Birds of Prey Centre—take in a show or a Private Hawk Walk. Pick from the Leisure Centre, play ground, soft play, zipwire, train tours and more on site.
Plan your sleep over—bring your own tent or van, hire a beautiful Bell Tent for hassle-free camping or stay in the 4*Hotel Westport next door. Magical memories are guaranteed.
