Altamont Gardens is a large, beautiful, old-world garden. It is an enchanting blend of formal and informal gardens located on a 100 acre estate.
Beautiful riverside walks ensure a great experience at any time of year starting in spring with the snowdrop collection, daffodils and other spring bulbs.
Rhododendrons, azaleas and later the rose collection are in full bloom mid-summer, followed by contrasting autumnal colours in the winter. There is also a Walled Garden and a plant sales area situated within the grounds of the estate.

Closed: Christmas Day. Gardens close in severe weather conditions.
Visit Duration: 1 to 2 hours. 30 minutes in the main formal gardens; visitors can walk the rest of the gardens themselves (40 acres). Suitable footwear required.
