"Where the wandering water gushes, From the hills above Glen-Car"

Glencar Waterfall is 50ft high and is situated in the Glencar Valley. It served as an inspiration to William Butler Yeats and he mentioned it in his famous poem “The Stolen Child”.

The waterfall is very impressive after rainfall and can be viewed from a lovely wooded walk area. Near the waterfall you will find picnic areas, a children’s playground, café facilities, tourism information and ample parking.
