There’s no better place to learn about Lismore than our Heritage Centre, with experiences that will give you the full tour of our town. Our 360° experience are the only way to catch a glimpse inside this beautiful castle. It’s a private residence and the Cavendish family are often at home. We’ll tell you the story of the Book of Lismore and the Bishop’s Crozier that were hidden in the walls of the castle for almost two centuries.

A special place to visit and relax in the lush green landscape of west Waterford. Set at the foot of the Knockmealdown mountains, this town has been a haven for travellers since the early 600’s. Connect with the monks of old, Norman’s, Vikings and Bishops who all passed through this town and left their mark in different ways to make the town what it is today. Immerse yourself in a 360 degree virtual reality experience of the rooms inside Lismore Castle. Here you will hear about the historical figures who shaped Lismore town through the ages, from entrepreneurs and adventures, Hollywood stars and world leaders who have spent time in this beautiful home overlooking the majestic Blackwater River.

Lady Louisa’s Walk–primarily a woodland walk along the riverbank where you can expect to find woodland plants such as beech, ash, ferns, spindle tree, holly and ivy as well as wood sorrel, golden saxifrage and wild garlic.
