Lorrha Monastic Village was founded in 550AD by St.Ruadhan, boasts an ancient Holy Well, a 10th century church, Dominican Priory and a Augustinian Priory. Within driving distance is Lackeen Castle and Redwood Castle. This Village is on the Beara Breifne route. Local volunteers run the shop, tea-rooms and heritage centre–the focal point of the village.
