Profiling the work of Irish designer-makers both in Ireland and abroad,

Housed in the beautifully restored 18th Century stables of Kilkenny Castle, the Gallery was established by the Crafts Council of Ireland in 2000. The main focus of the gallery is on profiling the work of Irish designer-makers both in Ireland and abroad, developing relationships with Irish and international galleries and collectors, and inspiring appreciation, creativity and innovation through the gallery education programme.

National Design & Craft Gallery touring programme works with Irish and international venues and partners to bring critically acclaimed exhibitions to a wider audience.
