Tyrella beach can be found within Dundrum Bay, Downpatrick, County Down. It is an award-winning beach stretching for two kilometres and backed by 25 hectares of mature dunes.

Visitors can enjoy beautiful scenic walks and enjoy the habitat of local flora and fauna.

Facilities on the beach include: safe bathing, dog free area, walks and tourist information.

The clean waters invite water sport enthusiasts and the beach provides a safe haven for families and groups who wish to picnic in a clean environment.

The Beach is owned and managed by Down District Council.

Lifeguards patrol the beach daily during July and August.

Tyrella Beach is situated on the A2 Killough to Clough Rd 7 miles from Downpatrick and 12 miles from Newcastle
