Visual Carlow is a contemporary arts centre located in the heart of Carlow town, Ireland. It is a vibrant hub for creativity, offering visitors a dynamic programme of visual arts, theatre, cinema, music, and cultural events. Opened in 2009, the award-winning building is striking in design, combining modern architecture with welcoming, light-filled spaces.
Its galleries showcase a wide range of Irish and international artists, while its theatres host performances from local and touring companies. Visual Carlow also houses an independent cinema, bringing world cinema, documentaries, and new releases to audiences in the region.
